Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Aurangabad
Volunteers in Aurangabad are raising $550 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Pioneer vacant lot.
🇮🇳 Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India1,420 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 130 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $450
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
