For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 184 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,600 goes: • Permits and inspections: $360 • Materials: $1,850 • Tools hire and delivery: $390 Thanks for reading all this. - Brooks
