Let's build a covered market stall space together in Saint-Denis
Volunteers in Saint-Denis are raising $3,400 for a covered market stall space at the Sycamore vacant lot.
🇫🇷 Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France2,944 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 475 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $340
• Tools hire and delivery: $370
• Materials: $2,690
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Great idea, hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care!
Wishing you peace, Sawsan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 11 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 4 people at work.
Stay strong, Sawsan. This could happen to any of us.
