Campinas
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $600. It will serve about 127 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $600 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $80 • Materials: $480 • Permits and inspections: $40 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
