Let's build a community garden together in Sydney
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $2,800 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,800.
It will serve about 310 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Materials: $1,900
• Permits and inspections: $100
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $580
