Let's build a community garden together in Fresno
Volunteers in Fresno are raising $3,450 for a community garden at the Acacia community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,450.
It will serve about 255 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,450 goes:
• Materials: $2,700
• Tools hire and delivery: $580
• Permits and inspections: $170
