Let's build a community fridge together in London
A community-led a community fridge at the Freedom health centre yard that will serve 454 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $4,300.
It will serve about 454 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $4,300 goes:
• Materials: $3,200
• Permits and inspections: $250
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $480

Thinking of you, Taylor. Great idea, hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
Best of luck. Hope you get there. Thinking of London.
