Legal fees for Kevin's work-permit appeal in Soweto
Help Kevin cover the fees of a work-permit appeal so He can stay with his family.
🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa1,056 views
Kevin is facing a work-permit appeal. The hearing is scheduled for November, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $700. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Kevin has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at the Soweto Community Legal Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Kevin could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $700 goes:
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $50
• Attorney retainer: $500
• Filing and biometrics fees: $150
Thank you so much.
