Laparoscopic cyst removal for Wesley: covering what insurance won't
After a cleft palate needing repair, Wesley was cleared for laparoscopic cyst removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Wesley was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in January. The surgeon at Toledo Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $4,000 short.
my son has been in and out of Toledo Orthopedic Institute since January. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Wesley struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Wesley won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
