I'm caring for my father, who's 84. After a fall and hip fracture Kerem can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Kerem desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Kerem worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $250 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $95
• Medication and prescriptions: $105
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Kerem?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about mobility aids and bathroom adaptations, advice is welcome too. Ask me anything else.
Hope things get better soon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Quezon City this morning. Take care
Hope it all works out, Ömer. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings!
Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Üsküdar.
