I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at Jodhpur General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850. My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $850 goes: • powered wheelchair: $810 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • Fitting and training sessions: $20 I hope life is good to you.
