Keep the water on at Kevin's home in Richards Bay

Kevin is behind on water bills after my partner leaving the household and needs $200 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $200. I have never been late before my partner leaving the household. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which I don't have. I live with a disabled brother, and going through winter without water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $200 goes: • Electricity arrears: $100 • Reconnection and late fees: $30 • Down payment on a payment plan: $70 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Kevin
