The heating account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $1,100. I have never been late before my partner leaving the household.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $70 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.

Update from London: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 73% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Quick update: $395 raised so far (36%). I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
