Independence for Miguel: stair-climbing aid
A stair-climbing aid would give Miguel independence - we're $1,150 away.
🇲🇽 Mexico1,693 views
Miguel lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Mexicali General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Miguel could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $960
• Fitting and training sessions: $65
• Delivery and set-up: $40
• First-year servicing plan: $85
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
