Keep the electricity and water on at Okello's home in Embakasi
Okello is behind on electricity and water bills after my partner leaving the household and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. Okello received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Okello called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Okello is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Okello's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $100 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $40
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $40
With deep gratitude,
Wangari

Keep going, Wangari. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Stay strong, Wangari. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
