Keep a roof over Nadine's head in Essen
After a cut in working hours, Nadine is 3 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in June, Nadine fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $2,000.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, the family must leave.
There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Nadine has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $140
• First month of rent as a buffer: $450
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,410
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
