Keep a roof over Mukasa's head in Naivasha
A termination letter arrived last week. Mukasa needs $650 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Naivasha.

After a sudden layoff at the construction firm, Mukasa fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a termination letter was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $650.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Mukasa has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $650 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $65
• Rent arrears (4 months): $540
• Utilities in arrears: $45
Thank you so much.

I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. After 11 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Istanbul.
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together. Love from Peshawar.
Praying for you. Hope you get there. Please keep us posted.

I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Pune this morning. All the best.
Sending strength. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
