Keep a roof over Kalyani's head in Vadodara
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Kalyani needs $150 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Vadodara.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 12 weeks, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Friday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $150.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $150 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $20
• First month of rent as a buffer: $85
• Late fees and court costs: $45
Thank you so much.

thinking of you, Kalyani. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together!
praying for you. Hope you get there. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
sending strength, Kalyani. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Nairobi.
Stay strong. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best
best of luck, Kalyani. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'll check back for the next update
