Yanti was diagnosed with colon cancer in March. The oncology team at Jakarta Selatan University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Yanti is 24, worked as a bank teller until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Jakarta Selatan University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,400 goes: • Scans and lab work: $170 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050 • Transport to Jakarta Selatan University Hospital: $180 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
