Keep a roof over Johanna's head in Essen
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Johanna needs $4,000 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Essen.

When the textile factory closed in May, Johanna fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a final eviction notice was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $4,000.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, the family must leave.
There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Johanna has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,900
• Late fees and court costs: $240
• Utilities in arrears: $270
• First month of rent as a buffer: $590
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Semarang so I could bring a meal.
Stay strong, David. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home!
Praying for you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
