Kathleen needs a lift to the Mandaue Dialysis Unit - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to the Mandaue Dialysis Unit would keep Kathleen on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Kathleen has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Mandaue Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Kathleen can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way. Kathleen is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
