Fighting Hodgkin lymphoma: help Sofia afford treatment in Rome
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Rome Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Sofia was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in May. The oncology team at Rome Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Sofia is 31, worked as a bus conductor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rome Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $5,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,400
• Scans and lab work: $860
• Transport to Rome Cancer Centre: $530
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $560
• Household costs while unable to work: $950
