Karl needs a cutting table and overlocker to reopen a sewing studio
A sewing studio in Dortmund needs help replacing a cutting table and overlocker after a storm that collapsed the roof.

For three years I have run a sewing studio in Dortmund. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $210
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $1,450
• Working capital for the first month: $290
Thanks for being kind about this.

hope you make a strong comeback. Love from Jerusalem.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Varanasi.
Take care, Karl. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
