Josefa needs a lift to Ciudad de México Regional Medical Center - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to Ciudad de México Regional Medical Center would keep Josefa on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Josefa has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Ciudad de México Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Josefa can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 22 km each way. Josefa is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Good luck. Hope this works out for you. I hope July is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Ciudad de México.

    • I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.

      • Keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours.
