Jose wants to stay at home - help fund four months of care
Help Jose stay in his own home with four months of part-time care.
🇺🇸 Mesa, Arizona, United States1,039 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 94. After worsening Parkinson's disease Jose can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jose desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Jose worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $3,100
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $370
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $180
Thank you for reading my story.

Take care. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Greetings from Davao City.
so sorry you're going through this, Jameson. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Thinking of you, Jameson. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Mesa.
Hope the doctors have good news. After 20 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Saket.
