I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Liverpool Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $450 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $160 • Delivery and set-up: $175 • First-year servicing plan: $115 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
