Jessica was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in March. The surgeon at Augsburg Community Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,550, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,650 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Augsburg Community Hospital since March. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,550 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jessica struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Jessica won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
