Jennifer received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
The loss of a second income left Jennifer short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

After a sudden layoff at the construction firm, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,500.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,450
• Late fees and court costs: $200
• Utilities in arrears: $220
• First month of rent as a buffer: $630
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you the best. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Thinking of you and your family. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Leicester
