I'm caring for me, who's 95. After a fall and hip fracture Jacques can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jacques desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Jacques worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $2,900 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $480 • Medication and prescriptions: $820 • Part-time carer (six months): $1,600 Thanks for being kind about this.
