I'm caring for me, who's 96. After a stroke last April Isabel can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Isabel desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Isabel worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $550 goes: • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $45 • Part-time carer (eight months): $380 • Medication and prescriptions: $125 Thank you so much.

Updates from Isabel

  1. Thank you all. We're at 25% now ($135). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the care agency and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Update from Makati: I made the first payment toward hospital bed and mattress rental. We're at 15% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
