Is there an electrician who can donate a few hours in Surrey?

Silas has a leaking gas line, and can't afford a licensed electrician to fix it; a few hours of professional help would make the home safe.

In July an inspector told me that my home has a leaking gas line. It's a safety risk for me and my elderly mother. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $1,200 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed electrician who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $150. The job should take about six hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're an electrician and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for reading my story.

Hang in there, Silas. I hope things turn around soon. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

    • thanks for sharing this. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
