Independence for Vasanthi: stair-climbing aid
A stair-climbing aid would give Vasanthi independence - we're $50 away.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Hubballi Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $50.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $50 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $25
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $5
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Quick update: $24 raised so far (48%). the plan for delivery and set-up is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($14 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Take care, Vasanthi. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up. Thinking of Hubballi.
Thanks for sharing this, Vasanthi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Quezon City.
So sorry you're going through this, Vasanthi. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
Hope things get better soon, Vasanthi. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Zapopan so I could bring a meal. Love from Bangkok.
