Rodrigo lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Zapopan General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,950.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Rodrigo could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $1,750
• Fitting and training sessions: $120
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $60
