Independence for Richard: adapted tricycle
Richard needs an adapted tricycle that the health system will not fund; the cost is $550.

Richard lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Takoradi General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Richard could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $550 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $440
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $65
