Independence for Nonso: powered wheelchair
Nonso needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,300.

Nonso lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Lagos General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,300.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Nonso could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $25
• powered wheelchair: $1,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $25
