Independence for María: braille note-taker
A braille note-taker would give Marían independence - we're $7,950 away.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Colorado Springs Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,950.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $7,950 goes:
• braille note-taker: $7,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $250
• Delivery and set-up: $130
• First-year servicing plan: $320
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you the best, María. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Jakarta Barat.
rooting for you, María. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
