Madeline lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Toronto Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $9,700. Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Madeline could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $9,700 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $9,250 • Fitting and training sessions: $135 • Delivery and set-up: $90 • First-year servicing plan: $225 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
