Independence for Liton: stair-climbing aid
Liton needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $550.

Liton lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Gazipur Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Liton could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $550 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $480
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $25
