Independence for Letícia: stair-climbing aid
A stair-climbing aid would give Letícia independence - we're $1,900 away.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at Porto Alegre General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,900.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $100
• stair-climbing aid: $1,700
• Fitting and training sessions: $100
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted. God bless.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Sent it to 7 people at work. Thinking of Porto Alegre.
