Independence for Lena: pair of hearing aids
Lena needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $300.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at Łódź General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $300.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $300 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $95
• First-year servicing plan: $125
• Fitting and training sessions: $80
Glad we found this place.
