Wage-theft claim: Gerald needs $2,550 before the deadline
Gerald needs $2,550 for filing fees and representation in a wage-theft claim before the November deadline.

I'm facing a wage-theft claim. My hearing is scheduled for November, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $2,550. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $310
• Certified translations and document copies: $80
• Attorney retainer: $2,160
Glad we found this place.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Love from Giza.
keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.

Hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of El Paso.
