Komal needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $600.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Patna Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• braille note-taker: $490
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $45
