Kevin lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Quezon City Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600. His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Kevin could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $600 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $430 • Fitting and training sessions: $60 • Delivery and set-up: $30 • First-year servicing plan: $80 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
