Jennifer lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at Pittsburgh General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,550. Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Jennifer could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $3,550 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $3,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $145 • Delivery and set-up: $210 • First-year servicing plan: $195 Thanks for being kind about this.
