I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the London Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,300. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $4,300 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $165 • Delivery and set-up: $145 • stair-climbing aid: $3,990 Thank you so much.

  • Sending good thoughts. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
