Independence for Fajar: powered wheelchair
Help Fajar get a powered wheelchair so He can go to school independently.
🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia875 views
Fajar lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Jakarta Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Fajar could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $600 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $35
• powered wheelchair: $520
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
