Independence for Cláudio: pair of hearing aids
Cláudio needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,200.

Cláudio lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Duque de Caxias Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,200.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Cláudio could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $1,000
• Fitting and training sessions: $115
• Delivery and set-up: $35
• First-year servicing plan: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.
