Independence for Cherry: stair-climbing aid
A stair-climbing aid would give Cherry independence - we're $600 away.
🇵🇭 Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines688 views
Cherry lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Quezon City General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Cherry could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $600 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $450
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $60
Thank you so much.
