Hosting wanted: Kavita travelling with Mahesh to Mumbai for treatment
Mahesh is coming to Mumbai University Hospital for 4 weeks of treatment and the family needs somewhere affordable to stay.

My father Mahesh has been accepted for treatment at Mumbai University Hospital in Mumbai, starting on Thursday in November. We live 560 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Mahesh and me. We can contribute $10 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Mahesh will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
- effort
- 3–6 weeks
- format
- In person in Mumbai
- skills
- a spare room near the hospital

Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best
So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Mumbai.
This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Davao City but we're thinking of you. Love from Davao City.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 20 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
