Home care fund for Tomoya in Tokyo
Tomoya, 90, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,900 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 90. After a heart attack Tomoya can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Tomoya desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Tomoya worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $4,900 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $460
• Medication and prescriptions: $490
• Part-time carer (six months): $3,950
